Write-A-Billboard is a Flash app created to promote the "With Love" campaign and the city of Philadelphia. The winner had their billboard posted up on I-95. The contest portion of the campaign lasted three weeks and received around 3000 submissions. Write-A-Billboard lives on as a tool for Philly fans to share the love (just for fun). The client moderates and updates the application through a simple CMS.

Right Network Video Player

2010
Client: Right Network
Agency: Red Tettemer
Design: Jon Elison
Development: Jared Weinstock (AS3)

The Right Network video player was a very technical build. There were many pieces that needed to be linked together: a dynamic scalable custom skin working with an API from a streaming media CDN, an API from an ad server, and data from a Rails CMS backend. It also had to be embeddable. Below is an example of the video player embed, taken from rightnetwork.com.

Unstoppable is a full Flash site created for the students and faculty of The University of Maryland. All content is XML based for quick additions to the "The Gallery". This section is database driven, with an email approval process through a designated moderator at UMD.

Fourmation

Fourmation was completed in 2009 as a senior project in the Digital Media field at Drexel University. Acting as team leader, I directed a group of five members through a six month process of planning, design, development, and presentation. The project was entered into the 2009 Adobe Design Achievement Awards in the Non Browser Based design category. We made it through a competition of thousands to the finalist stage, at which I was invited by the Adobe team to a special ceremony in Beijing. At the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Fourmation was declared a winner in its category and presented with the coveted 3D interlocking 'A' ADAA trophy (among many other splendid gifts).

Fourmation was more an experiment than anything else. We wanted to learn new technologies and APIs, so we built our concept around those requirements. The application used Wii button controls / infrared camera head tracking, WiiFlash, Papervision 3D (Molehill was just a twinkle in Flash Player's eye), SmartFox Multiplayer Servers, and AIR.
